Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

  • Accommodation: Mount Meru Hotel (or similar)
  • Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Rest and prepare for your photographic safari adventure.

Day 2: Arusha National Park

  • Activities: Walking safari and scenic game drives
  • Accommodation: Mount Meru Hotel (or similar)
  • Explore Arusha National Park’s unique landscapes, from dense forests to open grasslands. Capture views of Mount Meru and wildlife in their natural habitat.

Days 3–6: Tarangire National Park

  • Activities: Photographic game drives
  • Accommodation: Tarangire Treetops Lodge (or similar)
  • Discover Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, giant baobab trees, and vibrant birdlife. Spend four days capturing its scenic beauty and diverse wildlife.

Day 7: Tarangire to Ngorongoro

  • Activities: Scenic drive with photographic stops
  • Accommodation: Ngorongoro Farm House (or similar)
  • Travel to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying opportunities to photograph wildlife and dramatic landscapes en route.

Day 5-6: Full-Day Photography in Serengeti

  • Two full days dedicated to exploring Serengeti’s vast plains.
  • Witness and photograph wildlife action like predator-prey interactions and (seasonal) Great Migration herds.
  • Early morning and late evening sessions for optimal lighting.
  • Overnight at your camp.

Day 7: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

  • Morning game drive in Serengeti before heading to Ngorongoro.
  • Stop at a Maasai village for cultural photography opportunities.
  • Overnight at a lodge on the crater rim.

Day 8: Full Day in Ngorongoro Crater

  • Activities: Game drive and photography in the crater
  • Accommodation: Ngorongoro Farm House (or similar)
  • Spend the day exploring the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” Capture its rich biodiversity and stunning vistas.

Days 9–15: Ndutu Area – Migration Lookout

  • Activities: Follow the Great Migration and photograph wildlife interactions
  • Accommodation: Ndutu Safari Lodge (or similar)
  • Head to the Ndutu area in the southern Serengeti, a prime spot to witness and photograph the calving season of the Great Migration. Observe predators in action and capture breathtaking landscapes over seven unforgettable days.

Day 16: Ndutu Area to Arusha

  • Activities: Scenic drive and relaxation
  • Accommodation: Planet Lodge (or similar)
  • Travel back to Arusha. Relax and enjoy a farewell dinner at your lodge as you reflect on your safari adventure.

Day 17: Departure Day

  • Activities: Transfer to the airport for your departure flight
  • Bid farewell to Tanzania and transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey.
