Private Itinerary · Tanzania · June 2026
From Africa's Rooftop to the World's Greatest Crater
Your safari begins where your climb ends — at the foot of Africa's highest peak. Freshly descended from Kilimanjaro, your private guide meets you for a seamless transition from the world above the clouds into Tanzania's most celebrated wildlife landscapes.
From baobab-studded Tarangire to the misty rim of Ngorongoro Crater, every detail of these five days has been thoughtfully arranged — so all you carry is the thrill of what's ahead.
Day One
Monday, 9 June 2026
Your safari begins the moment your boots touch the Kilimanjaro gate after completing your trekking adventure. Your private Sokwe guide and vehicle are waiting — a warm welcome awaits as you swap mountain gear for the first chapter of your safari. The drive to Arusha winds through lush highland foothills, and the rest of the afternoon is yours to unwind, shower, and savour a well-deserved meal after the mountain.
Day Two
Tuesday, 10 June 2026
After breakfast, you depart south from Arusha into Tarangire National Park — one of East Africa's most underrated treasures. Ancient baobab forests rise from the golden plains as enormous elephant herds congregate along the Tarangire River. Arrive in time for a full afternoon game drive through this magnificent landscape before sundowners under the trees.
Day Three
Wednesday, 11 June 2026
After an early morning game drive capturing Tarangire's golden light, you depart north toward the Karatu highlands — a lush, verdant area perched on the rim of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Rolling coffee plantations and cool mountain air offer a beautiful contrast to the savanna below. Settle into the elegant Farmhouse and enjoy a long, unhurried afternoon.
Day Four
Thursday, 12 June 2026
A full day inside Africa's most spectacular natural arena. Descend 600 metres onto the Ngorongoro Crater floor — a UNESCO World Heritage Site teeming with over 25,000 animals in one breathtaking, self-contained ecosystem. Lion prides, black rhino, vast buffalo herds, and flamingo-fringed soda lakes await. Return to the Farmhouse for a celebratory farewell dinner.
Day Five
Friday, 13 June 2026
After a leisurely breakfast at the Farmhouse overlooking the lush Karatu valley, your guide accompanies you back toward Arusha. The return journey winds through the Great Rift escarpment — a final, unhurried panorama of one of the world's most extraordinary landscapes — before arriving in Arusha for your onward connection.
